The trek starts with a drive to Jiri from Kathmandu and then we continue to follow the classic everest expedition route through hill villages where the scenery and way of life is typical of most of rural Nepal. We pass through a medium high pass called “Lamjura pass” and several picturesque Sherpa villages, Chortens and suspension bridges and follow the Dudh Koshi river north through terraced hillside to join the main Everest trail that leads us to Namche Bazaar and finally to Everest Base Camp. This trek involves lots of climbing as the route crosses several ridges separated by deep river valleys.
On this trek you can enjoy spectacular views of Everest, Amadablam and many other towering Himalayan peaks along with unspoiled natural beauty of lower Khumbu from a close distance giving a chance to acclimatize your body well for the higher elevation trek.
